Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some questions we get asked often.  If your question is not answered below, please contact us

– Custom Logo Questions
– Rubber Stamp Questions
– Hatching Egg Questions

CUSTOM LOGO QUESTIONS:

How do I order a logo?

Ordering is simple and straight forward.  Just complete the form and tell us in detail what you’re looking for. Select the font styles and overall artwork styles that you like best and then attach any pictures or files you have that might help us in designing your logo such as; other logos you like the look of, specific font styles you like, images of something you want in your logo, etc.  If you really are unsure of what you want, that’s ok too. Just provide as much information as you can, and we will do the rest.  Please keep in mind though that if you don’t request anything specific or include inspiration pictures, you are leaving the overall design up to us.  If you then receive your proofs and you need to change your design drastically, you will be billed at $25 per hour.

Can I order anytime?

Yes, we accept orders anytime. However, during times of high volume of orders for custom design work, the wait time to receive your first proofs could be 3-4 weeks or more. If we receive too many orders at one time, and the wait time becomes too long to get the mockups out, we will temporarily close down the ability to order, so that we can catch up.  Thank you for being understanding about this.  We will work as fast as we can to get mockups to you, but we will not make short cuts on quality just to crank out logos quickly.

How much do you charge for a custom logo design?

Custom logos start at the base price, and increase based on the options you choose on the order form.

How long will it take to receive my logo after purchase?

See the logo product page for our current lead time on logo creation (based on volume of orders). You should receive your final logo files, approximately 1-2 weeks after you receive your initial mockups, depending on how many modifications you make to your designs.

What if I want to make changes to my logo concept after I receive the proofs?

The first round of approved edits to your logo design are free.  After the first round, we will begin billing edits at $25 per hour. WE WILL NOTIFY YOU AND GET YOUR CONSENT BEFORE WE START BILLING FOR THIS. No surprise charges will be added. You will receive your final invoice after your have approved your logo design,  Once your final invoice is paid, you will receive a link via email to access your downloadable logo files (via Dropbox)

How much detail can I request in my logo?

Our logos are priced as low as possible so we can help out as many people/businesses that we can.  Graphic design services can be very expensive because the work is so labor intensive. We create beautiful, impactful logos and branding work that start at just $300 (most custom logos will run you around $1000 from other companies). If you are requesting very specific or detailed artwork, please understand that creating this type of art takes many many hours and we must, therefore, collect an upcharge for this type of detail request.

What kind of files will I receive of my new logo?

  • High resolution .png files that have a transparent background (good for watermarking images, printing labels, printing apparel, or anytime you want no background to appear around your logo)
  • Standard web resolution .jpg files with white backgrounds (good for social media accounts, online usage, or anytime you need the logo to load faster on the web)
  • Vector based .eps files (good for scalable printing such as large banners or signs, good for professional printing companies such as apparel printers, etc. or anytime you need to scale the logo larger without losing quality)

RUBBER STAMP QUESTIONS:

How much do you charge for rubber stamps?

The prices for our rubber stamps vary by design, which you can check out here.

What countries do you ship rubber stamps to?

We currently ship/post our rubber stamps worldwide.

How do i get a custom made rubber stamp?

Any of the text on our existing designs can be customized. You can change text as well as add text for additional $15.  For a completely custom designed stamp, order here.  For a rubber stamp made of your existing logo, order here. To use your existing logo and turn it into a custom egg carton stamp, order here.

How do I get a saturated stamp on my egg cartons?

Because the tops of egg cartons are soft and crush easily, you must have a hard surface underneath the lid in order to press down fully on the stamp. Our Stamping Blocks were created just for this reason.

HATCHING EGGS QUESTIONS:

Is your farm NPIP certified?

Yes! We are certified in the state of Texas as part of the National Poultry Improvement Plan. Our NPIP number is 74-4428 and our flock is classified as: U.S. Pullorum-Typhoid Clean.

When will your waiting list for hatching eggs be open?

Our waiting lists are generally open in late January (for Spring shipping), and early September (for Fall shipping). During periods of high volume of orders, or low availability of hatching eggs, our wait lists may close temporarily and then open back up again when orders on the wait lists have been filled.

How much do you charge for hatching eggs?

The prices for our hatching eggs vary by the breed, but you can see what is currently available and what the prices for each breed are here.

How many hatching eggs come in one order?

Hatching eggs are sold by the dozen, but we usually ship around 14 eggs to give you a few extra in case of breakage or to increase your hatching rate.

Can i request more or less of a breed, mix and match or change the amount of breeds per order?

We do not ship less than 12 eggs, so we can not accommodate requests for say 6 or 7 eggs. Our mixed breed packages have equal amounts of each breed (not accounting for the free extras) but if you want to request more of one breed and less than another you are welcome to add that custom request in the notes area of your order and we will try our best to accommodate that. Because of our limited supply and long wait list, we cannot guarantee the order adjustment/change.

What will my hatching rate be with the shipped eggs?  do you guarantee hatching rates?

With so many different factors and situations that can account for a successful or unsuccessful hatch, we cannot guarantee any sort of hatch rate.  We can guarantee that you will receive fresh eggs from a healthy breeding flock that are excellent candidates for hatching, and that they will be packaged and mailed with the utmost of care. The manner in which you handle your shipped eggs and incubate them is beyond our control. Rough mail handlers, faulty incubators, unreliable broody hens, poor handling of the eggs, unstable humidity conditions, etc. can all play a role in a bad hatch. In general, you can expect at best a 50% hatch rate from shipped eggs.

How much will it cost to ship the eggs to me?

Shipping costs are based on your zip code and how many orders of eggs you place.  Shipping charges are applied during checkout.  For most areas in the country, the priority mail flat rate is between $18 and $22, per dozen.

How do i know when my hatching eggs have been shipped?

When your order is packaged up and ready to ship, you will receive an email at the email address you provided during registration/checkout, and an update to your order on your My Account page.  We will send you a USPS tracking number and your order status will change from “processing” to “complete”.

How long will it take for my hatching eggs to arrive?

We ship priority mail and you can expect your order to arrive 2-3 business days from when you receive your tracking number.

My order for hatching eggs was purchased on “back order” what does that mean?

When we sell out of a particular breed, some of the breed options will have orders available on back order.  This means that we have a waiting list for that particular breed.  Orders placed on back order will have an order status of “on hold” and will be placed in line on the waiting list.  As the hatching eggs become available, we fill the orders as they are received.  When your order is next in line on the wait list, your order status will change from “on hold” to “processing.”  You can then expect shipping to occur within the next 3-4 business days (sometimes sooner).  You are welcome to check in with us to see how many orders are in front of yours during this process, or when we project your order to be filled.

Please Note:  You cannot be added to the waiting list for any breed without first placing an order.

Tulip, or Auntie Tu, which We affectionately call her in the morning as she watches the three boy goats go crazy for their morning bottle, is probably the best goat Aunt I have ever met.

She's stepped into a protective role, which can only be compared to one of a caring and protective aunt. She could have been resting on the other end, and the next thing I know, she's at my knee, looking up at me, giving me a look, that seems to say, "You better take care of my boys", and when I return them all fed, she hurries over to check them out, and makes sure they know she didn't go anywhere.

She pays extra attention to Fred, who is blind, and gently tries to steer him towards the gate.
Gives Hercules and Orion the "look" when they start trying to jump over the gate in a rush to get fed.

Since the boys started staying in that stall, Tulip has been a constant presence. She gets out, runs around, but never strays too far from them in the barn, even when she's getting her exercise. It’s like she knows, their mama’s couldn’t take care of them… they were brought to me, to cherish and protect, as if they were my own.

How many of us have kids that are not our own, and yet we feel responsible and protective over them? Our friends children, children within our family, or children we teach or work with. Tulip gets that. These boys aren't hers, but she loves them in a fierce and protective way that only she can. They don't need to be hers, for her to put them first as if they were. To show them the ropes, to teach them those lessons that if mom could, she would.

Let's celebrate those who step in to fill the role of mom this Mother's day. The ones who love children so unconditionally, and help to raise them to show that same unconditional love.

Join us on Saturday morning to celebrate Tullip and mother’s of all types from 10am-12pm with pancakes and love. The link to RSVP is in our bio!

The minis are not so patiently waiting for fresh g The minis are not so patiently waiting for fresh green grass to munch on. Spring has not quite fully sprung here with unseasonably cooler nighttime temps and fluctuating weather that seems just a tad crazier than past years - even for Texas! I did, however get the garden almost fully planted, which might be the earliest yet. Livin on the wild side! 😜🤞🏻🙏🏻🌱
BUSTED! We heard the goats going crazy a couple of BUSTED! We heard the goats going crazy a couple of evenings ago, so we went to investigate and found a stall door open. We know we remembered closing it and we’re so confused so we checked the camera feed and found the culprit 🤣

Rosie the herd queen and food pig was found breaking into the stall next door to steal her friends food! So naughty!!

We will be changing out these latches now because of her. She made that look wayyyy too easy!!

Happy national prep day! May your sourdough have Happy national prep day!

May your sourdough have a perfect crumb and your pie crust be flaky. May your cranberry sauce not be too tart and your turkey brine perfectly salty.

What are my U.S. friends prepping today? If you have a ripe sourdough starter it’s not too late to make a batch of my sourdough bread to bake up tomorrow morning. It makes two loaves so if you only need one, you can put the other in the freezer. But let’s be real… fresh crispy #sourdough dipped in homemade gravy… you’re gonna need the two loaves! 😁🤤🥖Recipe link in bio!

Is it the weekend yet? Who else is in need of so Is it the weekend yet?

Who else is in need of some dirt road therapy? When Corey and I lived in Colorado, we would take the kids and the dogs and head towards the mountains to see the Aspen trees changing colors this time of year. With our coffees, and a good book we were reading packed in our bags, we would find a new dirt road and get lost looking for those twinkling golden leaves. We’d spend the afternoon surrounded by nature, with dirt on our boots and fresh air in our lungs. Whenever I think about needing a “reboot” I think about those trips to the Aspen trees and the smell of the dirt roads and the excitement of exploring somewhere new.

I made this shirt to remind myself to get more dirt road therapy no matter where I am in my life, maybe it will help you too 🤎
STILL pulling cherry tomatoes out of the garden in STILL pulling cherry tomatoes out of the garden in November. Gotta love the weather in Texas 🍒🌿🍂
These two are such characters. I never would have These two are such characters. I never would have thought that when we got an #LGD she would bond with our horses, as that’s kind of a rare situation and typically LGDs and horses/donkeys don’t mix well, so I’ve heard- but Stella has made a family with the minis and is inseparable with Nutmeg.

At 9 months old, she still shows her adolescence and immaturity when she’s around the goats and chickens, but when she’s with the minis it’s like she’s a different dog- cool, calm, sweet and chill. Still a total goof ball that trips over her own feet and chases her tail BUT she respects the horses and she seems to have a protective nature when she’s around them so I feel like she takes her job more seriously when she’s around them, rather than wanting to “play” like she does sometimes around the goats.

No playing with your charges, Stella! 🙈

BTW, when we first got Stella I *almost* got two Great Pyrenees puppies at once thinking she would be lonely in the pasture and would need a friend to grow up with. Thank goodness my sweet friend Renee from @mountainwoodsfarm was there to virtually slap my hands away from the second puppy and say NO! lol and then proceed to enlighten me on “litter mate syndrome” if it weren’t for her and her knowledge helping me through in the beginning I would have been lost. She’s your best source for anything and everything you ever needed to know about working LGDs and is #onetofollow 🙌🏻
I know my husband and I built this little beauty w I know my husband and I built this little beauty with our own hands because I was definitely here for it, but after we got done painting her this clean farmhouse white to match our house and chicken coop, I wanted someone to pinch me because I felt like I was dreaming! ☁️

We have wanted this barn for so long and have been building since March and it’s so satisfying to finally have a structure to start putting the final touches on. 3 sets of big barn doors and the exterior stall doors are coming up next along with shingling the roof and electrical and exterior extras like window shutters and faux hay loft windows.

Still so much to do but we’ve come so far and I’m so proud of how it’s turning out!

BTW, we made our own plans for this barn. I drew up the design and Corey made the building plans since we couldn’t find barn plans available that we liked.
My dreams for Tulip came true today you guys. Re My dreams for Tulip came true today you guys.

Remember when I said from the beginning that I wanted her to be with other special needs animals just like her? And maybe even make a difference in a special needs child’s life too..

She got to experience that today and then some with my friends over at @safeinaustinrescue 🥺🥰 What these gorgeous people are doing is so heartwarming and we had the best time touring their beautiful place and meeting all the amazing animals.

Seeing her there with all the people and the little children, wheeling around with the 3 legged doggies and the sheep that walks on her front knees, goats, cow and the sweetest little calf in the special needs animal pen almost made my heart burst into pieces. And then Corey “got dust in his eyes” and started the waterworks and we all got sappy and emotional and you just can’t help it because there’s something just *magical* about this ranch. Only good things happening here.

So. Much. Love.

Palpable love. The kind that just gives you chills right up your spine.

Tulip is so very special to us and the idea of her helping bring light into someone’s life like she did for us, and bring a smile to a child’s face is what gets me through even the saddest of times.

Thank you so much to all of the people and volunteers at @safeinaustinrescue !!
